Care
Pearls keep their character with simple habits. A few careful steps protect lustre for years.
Guidance
Care
Put pearls on last—after perfume, sunscreen, hairspray, and cosmetics have settled. Acids and alcohol dull nacre over time.
After wear, wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry fully before storing. Never soak strands or use ultrasonic / steam cleaners.
Store flat in a soft pouch or lined box, separate from diamonds and harder gems. Avoid hanging long strands for long periods.
Remove pieces before swimming, bathing, gym sessions, or heavy housework. Chlorine, salt water, and household cleaners can damage both pearl and metal.
Silk-knotted strands may need restringing with wear; if a strand feels loose, pause wear and contact us. Lifetime care covers gentle restringing and restoration where possible.
Metal findings may develop a soft patina. Use a jeweler’s polishing cloth on metal only—not on the pearl. [email protected] · FAQ.

Please avoid
What shortens a pearl's life
- Long soaks in water, pools, or hot baths
- Ultrasonic or steam cleaning
- Bleach, ammonia, and abrasive pastes
- Tossing pieces loose in a hard jewelry box
Daily ritual
Four habits that matter
No special tools required—only order, a soft cloth, and a little space in storage.
01
Wear last
Finish perfume, sunscreen, and hair products first. Alcohol and oils dull pearl skin over time.
02
Wipe after wear
Use a soft, dry cloth to clear sweat and residue. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals.
03
Store alone
Keep each piece in a soft pouch, apart from harder gems that can scratch the nacre.
04
Respect the metal
Gold plate and silver prefer gentle contact. Skip abrasive cloths; a jeweler's polishing cloth is enough.

Materials
By material
01
Freshwater pearls
Wipe dry after wear. Their soft glow stays clearest when kept away from perfume and daily lotions.
02
South Sea pearls
Larger surface, same rule: soft cloth only. Never force a polish that removes nacre.
03
Gold plate & silver
Natural dulling can happen. A light polish restores the line without competing with the pearl.
